Northland Vet Group is a busy, mixed-animal practice servicing the Whangarei district from our three, well equipped and best practice accredited clinics.

The role offers many opportunities and will open doors into areas of your personal, and nursing skills that you may have never considered before these include.
- Surgical nursing and anaesthesia, including scrubbing in for orthopaedic procedures and taking dental radiographs.
- Hospital nursing including patient care, IV catheter placements, blood draws, IDEXX blood machines, x-ray and ultrasonography.
- Consult nursing including post-op follow ups, beransa, cytopoint, nail trims, anal glands, weight management consulting and dental assessments.
- There is also the opportunity for large animal and equine work for the right candidate.

About the role:
We are seeking a qualified (Diploma level or higher) veterinary nurse to fulfil a permanent part time position, approximately 3-4 days. This role offers some flexibility around hours of work, and we therefore welcome any suitable candidates apply for a discussion. Please note, you will need to be willing and able to work weekends and on call within our rotating roster.
Remuneration is competitive and will be reflected by the successful candidates experience and skill set.
Skills and experience:
This role requires the successful candidate to be competent in-patient restraint and animal behavior, and experience within clinical nursing such as; anesthesia monitoring, blood sampling/handling, assisting with x-rays and general nursing duties.
