Keri Wilkinson-Mackie

Keri Wilkinson-MackieKeri grew up in Christchurch, completing an honours degree in Agricultural Science at Lincoln before gaining her Veterinary Science degree from Massey in 1992. Having also gained Alan, a fellow veterinary student, as a husband, they moved to Waitara to his first job in a predominately dairy practice. Keri locumed in Taranaki before moving to Whangarei with Alan and baby Sarah late 1994.

Keri worked part time at the Onerahi Clinic for 13 years, while juggling the important task of raising children, as three boys were added to the family.

In 2006, when the first Maunu Rd clinic closed, part time vets were no longer required. This career hiatus gave her time to manage rental properties, tend the garden at their Manganese Point house and complete a Graduate Diploma in Theology while teaching small groups in her local church, and driving the children to a plethora of sports practices and games.

2012 saw Keri doing part time work for the Whangarei SPCA, until beginning work back with Northland Veterinary Group in December 2013.

Keri works three days a week and gets to pursue her interest in companion animal medicine mainly at the Maunu Rd clinic. In her time off, her passions are travelling, camping with the family, gardening, and pursuing any outdoor activities which could lead to an improvement in the suntan.
